The Risen rules

Love
Trollkauk Festival is for everyone (18+), so it’s important that we take care of each other. Check in on your neighbors, include those you don’t know, and look after everyone you meet and see <3

Total ban on open fires
For nature, safety, and comfort, open fires and disposable grills are prohibited at the camp and festival area, as well as parking.

The Risen House
The idyllic Risen House located on the grounds is not for everyone. This is where the Risen Bandidos lives, both on a daily basis and during the festival. It’s important to respect this, as they kindly let us use their garden to make our little festival the best!

A helping hand
We’ll probably need a bit of help along the way, so you might be asked to lend a hand. Don’t worry – we promise the tasks are nice ones! Band-aid manager, grill master, or host – who knows! And feel free to take your own trash with you, so someone else doesn’t have to do it.

Traffic and safety
There’s a busy road (80 zone) right by the area. Please avoid walking along the road; instead, take a stroll on the Troll Trail – it’s much nicer.

Liquor license
For the festival to take place, we need a liquor license. You’ll understand the rules upon arrival, and it’s important to follow them to avoid any unnecessary trouble <3

Practical information

The best way to get to Trollkauk is undoubtedly the beautiful train ride with the Raumabanen. It’s said to be one of Norway’s most scenic train routes! If not, carpooling or taking the bus works fine too. Get off at Myrabø! The festival area is about a 15-minute drive from the center of Åndalsnes.

We recommend camping in a tent, but we also have a limited number of spots for motorhomes and caravans. Hammocks are also welcome, but it’s a good idea to bring a tarp in case of rain. If you plan to stay in a car/bus/caravan, it’s wise to arrive early to get the perfect spot!

Note! There is no electricity available for motorhomes.

Every morning, a delicious homemade breakfast will be served, included in your festival ticket! There will also be food trucks on-site offering a variety of tasty food for all hungry trolls. We will set up a simple kitchen station and a charcoal grill where you can prepare your own food if you wish. Bring your own equipment and supplies.

You can also purchase typical convenience store items and alcoholic beverages at Trollbar! If you need anything else, there are more shops and restaurants in the center of Åndalsnes, just a 15-minute drive away.

There will be toilets available at the camp and festival area, with toilet paper, running water, and soap! But it’s always a good idea to bring a roll or two in case it’s needed. If you need a proper wash, you can head to Åndalsnes and take a shower at CirkleK. Good prices and about a 15-minute drive from the festival area!

There are also many campsites around where you can use their facilities. Prices may vary. But just a stone’s throw from the festival area, you can jump into the river for a refreshing dip – don’t forget shampoo and conditioner!

There will be drinking water available at the festival area, so bring your own water bottle. If you follow the Troll Trail and the Old King's Road leading to Olaskarsgrova, you’ll find fresh drinking water from the stream. If you walk further to Jonsoksteinen, you’ll experience stunning views of the valley, Trollveggen, and the festival area. You’ll also find a waterfall where you can take a refreshing shower!

Trollkauk is committed to being as environmentally friendly as possible, so we encourage everyone to clean up, sort, and dispose of their trash correctly. Environmental stations will be set up around both the camp and festival areas, where we will sort cardboard, cans, and waste. A larger container will also be available for larger items if necessary.

The most important thing is that the area is as beautiful after the festival as it was before. So rinse, fold, and stuff. Or take it home with you 👏🏼

Unfortunately, there are quite a few ticks in the area, so be sure to check yourself and your companions regularly for these little bloodsuckers. It’s a bit of a hassle, but think of it as a form of voluntary work <3
